My 6 year old wants his own email address. I am not sure it's a good idea. I was thinking that with supervision and only giving his email address to family and close friends, maybe it would be a good learning experience for him....

Sillychick It would be for him to send and receive messages with family and friends. He eventually will have to learn, and I will have to teach him about safety- not giving out his email address, not opening emails from unknown addresses, etc.

Sillychick that's true. I could do things like get back into writing like I used to for a little extra money. I was even considering a part time job while he is in school to take some of the financial burden off of my husband.

Sillychick At my bank we rotate positions so everyone has the same opportunities to get referrals. It is hard to do in drive thru, since most people who use it are in a hurry and you have to talk thru the speaker which isn't always easy to hear, and allows no privacy....

Sillychick I prefer the shorter, more frequent trips. And we are big on the day outings. There are lots of fun things within an hour's drive of where we live, so we can usually find something new and interesting to do.

Sillychick Thanks, Cher. I know that my son has fun and really craves the social interaction he gets in daycare, especially since he is an only child. But I still miss him and have a hard time with it, especially on those days when he cries when I drop him off.

Sillychick Financial security is a good feeling, and I'm getting there. I do put some money into savings through direct deposit, but not enough. Maybe I'll increase that amount.
