I love spring and I love to take pictures of flowers. Here is a picture of an iris I took in Oregon at yet another rest stop on my trip. I got a bee doing its bee thing.

working4theweekend One of the first jokes I remember my dad telling me, I was probably four or five. We were at the park and he smelled the flowers and goes "wow, there was a blower (bl-ow-er)" and I said "Dad, there's not a "B" in flower" and he goes, "there was in that one!"...

I am sitting here minding my own business when my 14 year old son comes and said says "thanks for pawning my game without asking me!". What the heck?! I have no idea what he is talking about so I ask. He says that ever since I...

working4theweekend I think the real issue that should be addressed is:
1.) Why would your son think you are pawning his video games?
2.) Why does your son not clean his room - he's 14! When I was a kid, I got my stuff taken away if I didn't take care of it. I would have...

working4theweekend Okay, besides the obvious spelling mistakes ("chistian", "boyz"), you have some mixed messages. You say you love God but you love a "comfy bed...and a guy in it". I thought Christians weren't supposed to sleep with each other until they are married, isn't that...

Topping my list is the handkerchief. I often loose it, no matter how closely I guard it with my hands. It would either be dropped or left off. Second is my ballpen. I keep buying a new one, and still keep loosing it. Lastly, is my...

I have one of those police scanners and I hear all sorts of interesting calls. Just now someone called for the police because their 10 year old was out of control. That child must be pretty bad if a parent can't control him. I...

working4theweekend Speaking as a kid who did have the cops called on her (I was 11, but still), yeah, it happens. Basically, my half-sister and I got into a fight b/c she was talking $h1t on my father, after her dad (we had the same mom) had been molesting me for two months and...

from all public places? I do not smoke but I can see both sides. I see the non smokers not wanting to be around those who smoke. I also see the smokers point of view about a free country. So what would be the logical way to handle...

working4theweekend I can understand how someone wouldn't want to get cancer b/c of someone else, that's just not fair. I'm a smoker, but I don't mind going outside to smoke, when I'm a restaurant. What I don't understand is why people get mad when you smoke at a bar. If you're...

Do you think that there is really a big difference in Online education verses on campus? Do they offer about the same? Which would you prefer and why?

If you give meal to a man you only feed him for a day but if you teach a man to grow food, you feed him for a life time. Your thoughts?

working4theweekend I think this is a good point, and that third world countries could benefit a lot from being taught how to grow their own food and from environmental enrichment (ie, irrigation, etc) to help them do it.
My fiance is growing what he calls a "honeymoon salad"...
