I woke up early, after a good solid sleep, and came online for a couple hours, but soon my eyes were telling me to go back to bed. So I did.
And got up again at 9:45.
And then a posse of aging bikers roared up.
James, across...

Sometime end of November (not sure of the date) former neighbor Rick.
January 17, my friend's mother Jenny.
Now today I learn that my cousin's hubby Pete passed in his sleep last night.
Then...

Janey1966 So sorry to hear about his Barbara. Mum's 2nd brother died just before Christmas and she wasn't able to see him. He had vascular dementia and had been in some home or other. His wife Margaret could see him but there were no hugs, apart from holding his hand...

That's right, two out of three groundhogs say no to winter. Both Wiarton Willie and Shubenacadie Sam did not see their shadows this morning, therefore we will have an early spring here in Southern Ontario and Nova Scotia....

Yup, I finished another cross-stitch kit. And, as usual, I did a lot of smoothing of jagged edges.
It's about 3.5"x5". I wonder if I have a frame for it. I guess I should wash and iron it while I look in my stash.

Janey1966 How long did it take you to do..it's lovely. Not done a cross-stitch for years and in fact a shop that would sell them (in Blackpool, Carlisle isn't very arty) shut down so I wouldn't be able to do one anyway. Still do the colouring though which I enjoy very...

Im looking forward to tomorrow when my son comes and brings me a new mouse. I felt really bad last night at the one response I got on my last

Janey1966 Take no notice. I guess people can't help themselves when they see errors but there again, does this person know about your computer/mouse problems..not that that's an excuse or anything. At least I know the score and will always be here for you, whenever I...

Someone once told me, many years ago, that you never meet anyone worth knowing in a pub and up to now, he's not been proven wrong. Our village has not one but three pubs and I don't really rate any of them. With a population of...

Janey1966 I've never owned a dog but I do remember vividly bringing our (now) sadly deceased Flo-Jo from Blackpool to Carlisle, a near 100 mile one-way trip! Fortunately, the basket we carried her in was designed for 2 so she had loads of room to move around in, plus...

Back while I had been working at the USPS P&DC, there had been a conversation between 2 of the clerks that I had been working with. One was a PSE, like I had been. The other was a career clerk.
During their conversation, they...

I woke up this morning to the sound of machinery. When I came downstairs I noticed that the neighbors had hired someone to cut the hedge between our yards. It had gotten out of control and it belongs to them.
The crew was in my...

The ads on Mylot are unfair, they are mocking me.
I have attached one that drives me really crazy - it's about ordering fast food and sushi online for delivery.
The problem is: there are no delivery services for sushi that...
