I bought 14 dozen eggs for 3.50 each. That's a great deal compared to store prices and I know many of the Amish around us are getting at least 3 a dozen. This way I am done for the month and have enough to make dumplings one day...

The last 3 weeks has been a rollercoaster of strange weather, even for Alabama. We had extreme cold temperatures, some nights in the single digits. We had a snow storm that included the coast. We had days near or at 80...

Courtney Dutton Don't know what is worse - that back and forth weather or constantly cold. I know the switching around is not fun...but some nice weather breaking up the constant cold here would be a nice change.

Very cold feeling when you are outside. The roads do look good out there at least. But there is icy spots on some of the bare ground outside. It just means watching as you walk. One of my hens was singing the egg song this...
