RaCcOn this could be lots of things! Virus; Memory; Software; you can try to format your HDD and re-install the OS!if the problem keeps is hardware!maybe RAM!

RaCcOn a virus just can destroy the data that you have on your HDD or can destroy the boot sector!but you can continue using the HDD!Just formating it!

RaCcOn you can buy a 3.5" HDD box!you just have to put the HDD on it and conect it by USB port!it is detected by windows Xp automaticly and Viola!!hehe! You have to know if your HDD is Sata or IDE to buy the box! here in Portugal they cost about 40Euro...

RaCcOn If you have a Sata HDD you can acess it faster then if you have a IDE! so your computer will be faster!
