abkinsey I have heard great things about the soap nuts and always wanted to try them. I wonder how they work on cloth diapers? I know that Charlie's is a green detergent, too, but I just think those soap nuts look so cool. lol!

What kind of oil do you use?

What kind of oil do you use in your cooking? We use either a very good quality imported organic extra virgin olive oil, or canola oil. If a recipe calls for butter, I try to use organic butter. We avoid margarine at all costs!

abkinsey The other thing we do is more positive discipline than negative. We try to use our positive words to encourage good behavior. That way, we don't have to deal with the negative behaviors nearly as much.

abkinsey Right, the best teacher is natural consequences. If our son hits me, he has a timeout where I hold his hands and he is not allowed to use them. If he throws something, it is taken away, etc. Those natural consequences are a better teacher than a spanking which...
