arvaster I always found Kaspersky to be the best one. It cost a couple of bucks though. But just like in America, you have to pay for health care - but for your computer :P

arvaster I use ad-blocking software on most site. Because it is annoying. Some will popup, some will popunder. Very, very annoying. Sites I like & respect I usually turn it on to give the site revenue :) But in general I keep it on.

arvaster Viruses are as commonly found on discs as in USB devices. Although things can't transfer to an already closed disc. I guess it's "safer". Anyway. I prefer DVDs over USB sticks.

arvaster LCD is better. Contrast ratio and brightness is better. It is easier on your eyes than the CRT screens. Envirnmentally friendlier too! (since thats what everyone is raging about the past few years now, haha)
