cripfemme To clarify, I'm not giving the conference. I'm going to the conference and usually speaking at them. That's why I get to stay in fancy hotels free or cheap. Someday I would like to give a conference, but I haven't yet.

littlefranciscan I have never been to the mideast. I would assme things are less pricy then the USA yet ..in Turkish money things can be high to people there. Glad that you and your BF are so close that you decided together on where is best to stay.

littlefranciscan $85 is till kind of reasonable. I hear rates here in NJ at $89 just plain jane run of the mill hotel room. .the more features the higher you et. I have found that if you have "extended stay" you get the better per night rate.
