I just quit my job, and am actually feeling quite happy about it. If you were in my shoes, what's the first thing you would do? How would you celebrate? (Or would you celebrate at all?)

cheekysuze Thanks for the advice :- ) I am way too old to be dependent on my parents as well. I'm married with kids! As for the job, I literally couldn't afford to keep it. Odd, huh? But I have other things I can do for money. :- )

cheekysuze That's a good point. I ended up celebrating by taking my kids to a u-pick blueberry farm. Lots of giggles, little cash. It's a win-win!

cheekysuze I find it amusing that you would think I'm rich because I quit my job. That's a logical assumption, I guess. I quit my job because "my income was less than my outgo," so to speak. It wasn't paying me nearly enough to afford my babysitter and gas to travel to...

cheekysuze I also pray for The Things We Take For Granted, every day. It helps me to remember to be thankful for what we have, and to appreciate everything, starting with life and health, and continuing to whatever else is good in the world.

cheekysuze Good point. Everyone always has so much to say about what everyone else is doing wrong. I'm fairly sure I would crack under the pressure of being President, and I'm glad someone else wants the job!
