RasmaSandra That sounds good. You are right you can make food with the least of things and as long as it is tasty and it fills your belly things are good. I usually like to make rice with some spices and bouillion and then add beans and enjoy it that way.

Notlilie @cindiowens you don't eat the spice, just add the spice. One or two is enough. I know some people actually eat it but I don't think I can. The taste is too strong.

Notlilie Star anise is commonly use here. I add star anise to my cooking, especially rice. It would add aroma to it. I use almost all spices. They're not bad, too be honest.
