DE @florelway It's a little under an hour drive for us on secondary highways. I'd have to drive 12 miles/19 km the wrong direction to reach an expressway into the big city.

DE @florelway Pretty and I live where I grew up as a boy and raised her in the same area. The closest mall to us is about 50 miles/80 km away. We rarely drive that far unless we have a doctor appointment in the larger city.

much2say I'm sorry to hear that about your classmate. I'm assuming the house had insurance - plus hopefully they will be getting extra aid from FEMA. The intention of the fire areas out here is to rebuild the communities. I hope they will be able to recover.
