While every body was preparing their Noche-Buena ( new year meal ), trumpets, and fireworks, I just did my laundry. Even though it was evening, it was to watch over my dogs and not panic while they hear those loud fire works....

LK2018 Because it was DU30's time, he was very strict against fire works. I think slowly people will going back fire works again. Unless you have pets @florelway

ElicBxn @florelway these people who are setting off the fireworks (which is illegal, but the cops aren't going to do anything unless they do start a fire) also get the firecrackers. And since both are loud I'd rather pass on them.

Have you heard of the term "veganuary"? The root words for this term come from vegan and January. The main goal is to eat vegetables and refrain from consuming meat for the whole month. I bet that meat lovers will not give it a go...

DE No, I haven't. I'm definitely a carnivore and know/have heard very little about vegetarians or variations of such. I do eat a lot more vegetables than I did in my younger years, though.

ElicBxn Oh, these guys are noisy! I didn't go out to look, but I'm sure they were pretty, I just don't like loud bangs. There was a brief pause and I put the dog out. But I was on the toilet when they started again and that got the dog started again.
