gillejc I hate going to the doctor to, but you may need to see one sounds like you may have a small tear in your stomach lining but you can also try mixing a tablespoon of baking soda and water together this will help the acid buildup when you get stressed.

gillejc I defrag mine about that much. I usually run disk cleanup first. defragmenting puts all the file back into order such as most used in front and least in back. It dosen't hurt to run it.

gillejc It dose not really hurt to leave it on. the one thing that you can do is go into your power settings in your control panel and set when you want your monitor and hard drive to turn off this save a little power and keeps the processor cooler. i leave mine on...
