I've done this, and it's good because when I change into fresh clothes, I smell like I've just gotten out of the bath. It's refreshing and it saves me from putting fabric softener during washing.

I've done this, especially with imported soap because their scent last long. I love the scent that stays with my shirts. It also saves me when we run out of fabric softener.
