hopeful327 Good luck - I highly recommend taking a Dave Ramsey courses for advice. There should be one in your area - google "Dave ramsey classes". Also try living more frugally too!

From my experience and observation, majority of people made a promise to another person, less likely they will remember what they promised, and less likely they will keep that promise in the near future. They probably simply say...

hopeful327 I agree with you, there are people who promise to do something to comfort/satisfy them at the moment. I lose trust in people who do that. THey are NOT true friends. It is difficult to respect people like that!

hopeful327 I take it she's an adult and over 18? If that's the case, the only thing you can do is let her know (gently) how you feel and perhaps in the future she will be more considerate.... I know it hurts, but since she's an adult, you really cannot "punish" her....

hopeful327 Bummer :( That sounds no fun. I work from home, however, when I worked, and when January 1st was a holiday we would have the 2nd off. I think. If I were the boss I would definitely call it a holiday - I think it hurts the rapport in the office to do it...
