kristishorten17 Yes I have seen all three of them in one go and I have the extended versions. It took 12+ hours to do but it was still good. I even did all the extras the next day just because.

kristishorten17 I know certain parts in the film were inspired by WWI as Tolkien fought in the war and he had written about what he had witnessed. I am not sure if the rest of it was based on the war or they were just made up in his head.

kristishorten17 Production for The Hobbit started this past March and they are splitting it up in two parts. The first part comes out December 2012 and the second half coming out the following December. Truthfully, I cannot wait.
