laura4qt Anything by Roald Dahl - his stuff is all so darkly comic and great for kids. Not patronising or fluffy at all, which is great! Although I did love Enid Blyton stuff too - I think someone else mentioned The Magic Faraway Tree, that was brilliant.

So what are folks' views on series 3 in comparison to the previous two series? I'm loving it! I much preferred series 2 to series 1, and I think 3 is working along the same lines despite being given a smaller budget to work...
