misslara You should be careful of cheap body jewelry. The quality is usually really low and it can be harmful to wear in your body, especially if the piercing isn't fully healed.

A high school student cannot finish reading a chapter. A college student cannot write a summary of what he has read. Improvement in readings skills are not taken seriously by the teacher nor the parents.

misslara I imagine that like with everything else it depends on the child. And the friend, too. Some kids who are used to spending nights in other people's homes like family members would probably be more comfortable spending the night at a friend's at an earlier age.

misslara It's true that owning a pet can be beneficial to the owner, but so many people just don't lead an appropriate lifestyle. I think it's such a shame when people get a cat or a dog and then leave it alone for most of the day while the entire household is at work...

When I get nervous I shake uncontrollably and can't stop for a while. People laugh at me. It's embarrassing. Is there something wrong with me?

misslara I think it's just a natural response to stress. I used to shake when I had to do public speaking, but I've had so much practice at it now that it doesn't bother me. I get clammy palms when I'm nervous too!

I've read about lack of sleep, less than 8 hours per day, cutting short your life span so I make sure that I have enough sleep everyday. My young kids usually have 9 to 10 hours of sleep.
