monica1216 Oh interesting. well, I think I have figured out from the ultrasound that I had a while back that I now how a small goiter. I have learned that not taking my thyroid meds (synthroid) exactly as I should on a regular schedule can make a goiter start to grow....

monica1216 Yeah I think by May there are probably already a lot of college students out for the summer so they probably add to the crowds. I know my oldest son (15 yrs old) said while we were there that he can't wait till he's older and will return with college friends....

monica1216 Oh thanks for asking. Actually it seems to have stopped. My doctor never thought it was related to thyroid meds and the ultrasound looked fine. So who knows what that was?!? I hope it never happens again.

monica1216 Just an update that I did go for the thyroid ultrasound yesterday. The ultrasound guy said after the appt. that he didn't see anything that looked bad. I'll have to wait and hear the final report though from my Dr.

monica1216 Thank you so much! I do also hope the weather is nice. the walk is the 1st weekend in August in Boston. I think it will be fine. I'm used to the heat of August in Virginia so it should feel a bit cooler there.

monica1216 Oh I forgot to add that if you love Labs then maybe you should consider a labradoodle. Having the poodle mixed in makes them shed less and therefore they are more hypoallergic. Also mixed breed dogs have fewer genetic issues from over-breeding purebred...
