In the last couple of days I've lost a pair of glasses, the nozzle off the end of my hose, the key for my lawn-mower and the keys to where I work!!
I have been searching and searching.
Perhaps I shouldn't say "lost" but...

newzealtralian When things weigh heavily on our minds, we tend to do things without thinking about them, like putting objects in places we wouldn't usually put them.
Instead of racing around looking for the missing objects, sit down, clear your mind and think of something...

What is the most beautiful, or maybe just your favorite part of nature? The choices are vast: waterfalls, rainbows, a sunny sky...I love weeping willow trees. There were a couple of them in my grandparent's neighborhood when I...

I really think my uncle is going to end up murdering my grandmother. This may be a long post, so if you don't like reading long ones, you better stop now. Let me give you the background information. My grandparents had two kids,...

I know what size I want to get, but when I went to the Apple site, there were so many choices, Iwork, ability to attach to this tv monitor, regular hard drives, solid steel hard drives, etc. that I am confused. I do a lot of...

newzealtralian Regardless of the operating system/computer type, the best thing you can do is to go into a computer retailer and get some help with looking at what kind of computer you need. You don't have to buy from them, just get some 'in the know' advice, and really make...

How about a fridge? Sure, why not?! It stops keeping things cold, let's just put it out on the front lawn. Personally, I would prefer a flamingo. See, in the breezeway of my apartment, in full view of anyone who comes near the...

newzealtralian If the fridge had been used in a creative or practical way, then it could be quite a postive statement in the garden.
We have old electrical appliances (fridge, washer, dryer) that are that beyond saving we haven't even bothered trying. Our plan is to turn...

I had to bite the bullet and venture into the Walmart Supercenter today. I had peanut butter and pickles in my fridge - that was it. So I'm going down the vitamin aisle, and a very nicely dressed, short, middle aged lady points...

Hmmm... the title makes me think of the movie Older Yeller. Anyway, are you a person who yells a lot? I don't. Of course I don't have a husband or children. Perhaps if I did I would be under a bit more pressure and be more...

newzealtralian I will sheepishly admit to being a bit of a yeller. I have 5 kids, all of whom insist they must make as much noise as possible at the same time. The only way to get their attention in such situations is to raise one's voice above theirs.
I do start out with...

I have two three to four hours a week of respite (my husband has als) during which I do the non grocery shopping, also take money to the bank, or just enjoy going with my friend to the park. And I felt that was all the respite i...

newzealtralian If there is more to gain from you having extra respite, then it has to be a positive thing.
Losing weight (for health reasons) and saving money are two very definite positive benefits to extra respite. Another would be, you being out of the house more and...

If you've been hurling and puking any time you eat something for the past two days - yet you're HUNGRY, what would be the best things to attempt eating? The last time I felt THIS BAD was when my pregnant with my daughter over 7...

This was a couple of years ago, and just thinking about it now, I shake my head. My uncle, one of my father's brothers, had a heart attack. Instead of calling 911, my aunt thought it would be better to take him to the fire...
