Is it okay to feed chicken bones to my pitbull?

I have a pitbull. Our family loves to eat chicken. I was wondering if i could feed my pitbull the chicken bones that is left behind. I tried and my dog actually ate it. Will it have any bad effect on my pitbull or not?

patri79 COOKED chicken bones are a NO NO. They can splinter and cause injuries to internal organs (such as the intestine). Raw bones are OK, but I'd still be careful.

patri79 I can't help with the long coat thing, but about the feces eating, you can give him digestive enzymes (found at most pet stores). The biggest reason dogs eat their own feces is because it still smells like food to them because it hasn't been broken down...
