Hi i have a problem with dvd rom of sony...it reads cd very easily but it does not read dvds...it does not recognize it,showing blanks..i tried many thing like registry hacking,patching,installing uninstalling...

sonyW580i try sending the dvd rom to the manufacturer and make saome replacement of the product, because your dvd rom does'nt read dvd disk..

sonyW580i i dont use windows media player anymore, i just use Zoom player for playing audio and movie's it easy to use and no hastle about conflicts on codecs..

sonyW580i how do you install the XP? are you trying to install XP while your runing Vista OS? thats is imposible, because Vista is higher than XP, vista will not allow you to install XP.. in order to install XP, you must use a bootable Xp disk..

sonyW580i if i keeps on typing numbers or letter anywhere, its the keypad flex is the problem.. maybe your keys are stuck so it keeps on pressing, try changing it keypad flex to a new one, lets see whats happen..

sonyW580i try pressing numbers on the desktop on the phone/ its background.. if the numbers are not doubling/pressing by it self, maybe the predictive text is making you annoying.. turning it off might solve your problem

sonyW580i my favorite USB device is my PSP, i can play mp3 music, play mp4 movies, look at my pictures, play games.. i replace USB pendrives with my PSP.. but its down side, you must have a higher memory space..
