teja_vc the deragmenter will actually move peace of the data which is being fragmented in to parts and stored in different sectors in the harddisk in one continuous mannor so that the data can be read fast thats what exactly what the defragment is.

teja_vc yeah it is good indeed to do defrag what happens is the harddisk in your computer reads and stores the data in as randomly so what happens is one 1 MB file will be spilt in to chunks of data it will be split in to parts so that they can be stored in to sectors...
