trippyteresa thankyou... i accept that if i had of been harder to start with i maybe wouldn't be in this situation with him, but as a lone parent it was becomming increasingly hard to keep punnishing him in that way... i gather from what im reading in these responses is...

trippyteresa a 'good' smack in the mouth would be a terrible thing to do, i don't want him to fear me, just respect me, not to mention that kind of discipline is totally illegal!! as for drs, all they want to do is prescribe drugs to pacify our childrens...

trippyteresa I do point these issues out to my son, maybe i just don't point them out often enough, i do fear for his future, although he is only 11, it won't be long untill i have little or no say in what he does and how he conducts himself

trippyteresa lol i would never beat my son, i have marvelous self control, he's not been spanked in a long time tho, i'm unsure of whether this method would be effective, i want to move forwards with him, not backwards... i may wait for a serious mishap before seeing how...

trippyteresa sorry i also should have added, i don't think it's embarressment at all, as an incident like this happened yesterday, and when leaving the persons house we were visiting at the time, he asked where his clothes were i said, 'you mean the clothes you wee'd in'...
