twistedangelwings I've got an LCD screen. While the screen does actually have speakers on the bottom corners of it I don't actually have my sound coming through them but my good ole trusty 5.1 surround Logitech speakers.

twistedangelwings USB 2.0 is the more recent one. I think you'll find all newer computers have 2 and only the old computers still around in peoples houses only have 1. USB 2.0 is considerably faster than 1. You may also find that a lot of newer devices do not operate at all...
