Faye Ah - perhaps the answer is in Psychiatrist vs. Psychologist . The former is a medical Dr. on top of a Psychology degree. They can prescribe and usually do in the most pushy manner. The latter isn't a medical Dr. - can't prescribe - though they can suggest....
