I was just wondering how long you have to wait before doing a missing person's report. I heard that it was twenty four hours after the person has been missing. What about children? Is there a diffrent time frame for them?

CherylPH I know for adults, they police wait 24 hours before fileing a report, but you can still notify them that you are concerned. If you are really concerned about this, you can call your local sheriff's office, not 911, and ask them what their proceedures are for...
