Why are people so desperate for attention that they become internet trolls? (People who go online to bully people and cause problems)

I just had to report and block a troll on here. I think it's ridiculous we're here to share thoughts and opinions not to be rude and harass each other at least that's what I thought....

topffer @Ladybug8608 There is a misunderstanding between you. Many of us are not native English speakers and are from different cultures, so it may happen. I do not think that @AKRao24 wanted to be mean or insulting, it is not in his nature.
