TheAfricanMetalheadQueen I love The Motels. Only the Lonely is one of my favorites, and I love the video. Goodness the 80s was a great decade for music. Back then, we did not know how good we had it. There was so much out there for everyone. Today, it is very hard to find good music....

TheAfricanMetalheadQueen What a great idea for a discussion! You are correct in that just about everybody has a list of bands they love, and feel that they have not received their just desserts. In my opinion, five bands that I love and feel are highly underrated are Epica, Type O...

I read an article today saying that the last company that still manufactures VCRs will be stopping production this year. It's amazing to think that brand new VCRs were still being produced because I honestly don't think there are...

TheAfricanMetalheadQueen I still have loads of VHS tapes, and while DVR's, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs are all the rage right now, I still prefer VHS. I do have a VCR/DVD combo, but the DVD part doesn't work anymore. I still watch many things that I have on videotape such as my favorite...

TheAfricanMetalheadQueen Thank you so much for the recommendation. If I come across this movie, I will definitely watch it. I do happen to be a fan of Ethan Hawke. I totally loved him in the movies, Before sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight. It just so happens, I am also a...

First, I got the idea to write this post from Alfredo Rossi, who posted, A Movie Afternoon. While Waiting for Our Company. Many of us have been at home channel surfing, when suddenly we come across a movie that we have not seen...

There's one hit wonders of the 80s and 70s and 60s (and even the 50s and 40s), and then there's acts who really aren't one-hit wonders, despite the fact that there's that "one big hit" that's played all the time and no other song....

TheAfricanMetalheadQueen Actually, I like this song better than Take On Me. Also, you are right in that it didn't get enough air time because radio stations were still too busy playing their first song. I have heard some decent remakes of this song, and my favorite is by Susperia....
