Do you have experience on how best to deal with anorexia

I have a cousin who has anorexia though she has been discharged from hospital, i just want to know if anyone out there has some advice on how best to help recover faster, and not relapse.

Tiredmama Offer her support at meal times. These can be particularly stressful. Having someone to eat with can help immensely. I don't really know if there is anything that you can do to help speed things along per se because this is one of those things that really need...

Tiredmama I sometimes sell things online and my husband doesn't know about this so yes I do hide money from him. I use this money to buy things like new clothes for our girls.

Tiredmama Two weeks ago...we try to talk at least once a month. We talk about little things and I send her books quite often. People sometimes get angry with the people that they love because this can be another way of expressing affection.

Should you own a gerbil or hamster if you have cats?

We've already got three cats, but my daughter is asking for more pets. And, I'm just not ready to get her any more cats right now. The cat fights have already broken out. I think she really wants a hamster or gerbil. She saw one...

Tiredmama Keep the hamster in the cage, and it should be just fine with the cats. I am ok with hamsters, but I am not a huge fan of gerbils but this is just becuase I did a research project at one point with gerbils and hope to never see one again.

Tiredmama We kept our cats food bowl full all of the time. She ate a lot at first, but over time she self regulated. With an outdoor cat they try to eat everything all at once because they aren't sure when they will get more food so they get over protective of the food...

I think it is rude for people to hang up on anyone. It is very simple to just say "I am not interested". I work in a marketing research firm to put myself through school, and people have said some very inappropriate things to me....

Tiredmama I say something nice and try to get them to stop talking before I hang up...if they say something rude I say something worse and hang up. I hate telemarketers.

Surprisingly, we haven't taken a family portrait since my daughter was born. I received so many money saving coupons on portraits just after my daughter was born. And, I figured that we'd use one of those. But, we never got around...

Tiredmama I don't get it...our country has christian beliefs at its center. If we cut God out really what do we have left. WE need to teach our children values but I think we lose some of these values when we remove God from everyday life.

Tiredmama That seems unethical to me. I think you can only bill if they are doing something meaningful on the case. I would contact both the hospital and the physician about the charge. Also contact insurance and tell them that the claim is fraudulent. That DR should...

I've always wondered why so many people are obsessed with the low carb diet craze. I can't imagine that eating big glops of meat could actually be healthy. There are lots of people that eat no meat at all and are super healthy....

Tiredmama Protein and fat tend to let you feel satisfied earlier so eventually you end up eating less total calories...the problem with these diets is that the weight usually piles back on once you stop following the plan.

Tiredmama I see my parents 3-4 times a year. I email my mom once a week. My parents live about 400 miles away.
