barefoot48066 I think it's wrong NOT to give kids who are at least school-age chores. Kids need to learn how to work, and the earlier the better. Chores ought to be part of living in the family and ought to be separate from any allowance you may choose to give the kid.

barefoot48066 We do spank when needed, our son is 4 so he has never needed more than a spanking with the open hand, but we don't see a single thing wrong with it. Unspanked kids have a tendency to become brats, and we want to head that off at the pass!

barefoot48066 It was too cutesy for my liking. A full chapter would've been better, as she could've stretched her writing skill a little more. The epilogue as it stands is like the HP movies imo--better than nothing, but not by much.
