I get surprised how new generation types with super fast speed using thumb tips of both the hands.
They may be failed in real typing test on desktop or laptop keyboard. But I can't type using both hands. I may type hardly10 words...

CelticSoulSister I don't know what my typing speed on a phone pad would be, but on a PC keyboard on a bad day it's about 70wpm and on a good day about 90wpm. However, I was taught to type back in the 1970s in the traditional way and with practice, having been taught that way,...

Cooking with coconut oil is similar with cooking with olive oil. But in my place, coconut oil is more common to use in cooking than other kinds of cooking oil. We use coconut oil for deep frying, sautéing, baking, roasting, and...

When I was at school my favourite subjects were Biology, English and Cookery or Home Economics to give it its correct title.
My least favourite with maths and PE/Gym.
What is or was your most (or least) favorite subject in...

When was the last time you really laughed about something?
I don’t mean just a polite chuckle, but really laughed until your eyes watered and your sides ached, or you had a fit of the giggles and just couldn’t stop?
It occurred...

CelticSoulSister I agree. The last time I really laughed properly rather than just a little chuckle or a grin, was probably more than ten years ago when I used to work with a girl who had a really unusual sense of humour. I'd be sitting in the office in fits of hysterical...

I heard on the news we have an 18 percent chance of a White Christmas. That is not much obviously,so it is not likely to happen. I think once in the time I have been living in Central VA the past 12 years...there was one. However,...

CelticSoulSister The last truly white Christmas I ever remember in the area of the UK where I live (the south-eastern corner) was in 1970 when it began snowing on Christmas Eve, continuing all through Christmas Day. They say here that if we get even just one single flake of...

My parents got me into liking British TV series. The first one was "Keeping Up Appearances" - which is a comedy about this rather uppity lady named Hyacinth, who tries to act far more grand than she really is. She believes she...

Death. The final frontier or not depending on what you believe but in any case the end of life as we know it, aye aye Captain.
So whether we will be beamed up or down to Heaven or Hades or be cremated to ashes or simply get eaten...

CelticSoulSister I'm not scared of dying, but the method of my death, e.g. the way I die, might be something to be scared of.

I dont want to be put in a coffin. Lid nailed down. Then wake up and find I am either being buried at sea or being cremated.
How about you?

This might sound like a very straightforward question to answer but it's not so straightforward in our house.
Before we got the cats life was simple.
Me on tbe left.
Wife on the right.
The cats have managed to change all that...

CelticSoulSister I sleep on my own in a double bed, but always on just one side - as to whether it's the left or the right side, depends on what angle you're looking at the bed from. I wouldn't be comfortable in a single bed, even though I treat my double bed as single. Many...
