crunchymama It stands for Community Supported Agriculture. You buy a share of a farm, and then you get fresh produce all season. Like buying a stock, but the dividends are paid in vegetables.

crunchymama And he breastfed, too, probably until he was 3-5 years old, assuming they followed the cultural norms of the era. And, well, he seemed to have been fairly well-adjusted. LOL

crunchymama What is it about little kids and sleeping so that they take up as much room as possible? Our family of 3 usually forms an "H" at night. Me on one side, DH on the other, DS in the middle with his head pushed up against my stomach and his feet on daddy's head.

crunchymama ITA about being warmer! Our 2YO still needs to be roused in the middle of the night to pee or else we get wet about once a week. I usually wake up around 3 anyway, and just prop the child up, hold up a suitable container, let him go, and we all go right back...

crunchymama Yes. I have about 20 different slings (well, I make them...) and like each one for different reasons. Though, I gotta say, for all-purpose use, the wrap is hands-down my favorite. If I could only own one, it'd be my solarveil wrap.

crunchymama I couldn't agree more! Just based on my community of friends, the average age of self-weaning has been 2-4. A lot of children wean when their mothers get pregnant again, as well - the milk changes and supply drops, and many just lose interest.

crunchymama Absolutely, you can. My point was that, once they can really bite you, then you start teaching them not to. No reason to wean, just start teaching them.

crunchymama Wait until you do have kids, and you nurse them and as if growing an entire human being in your own body wasn't amazing enough, you then can feed that human being entirely with stuff you make in your body. It is actually pretty unreal. Completely amazing....
