firebolt The simple answer is Metallica...!!!..But u cannot compare these two bandas as they r of differnt genres...Linkin Park is Nu-Metal and Metallica is completely Thrash Metal...The area where Linkin Park is behind Metallica is that they dont play pure...

firebolt No dude...Mine favourite Opeth is DAMNATION too...I like all of its songs...But amongst them my personal favourite is HOPE LEAVES...Awesome melody and gr8 singing...I also watched them perform live in the Lamentations video that i have...They are just great...
