How old should a male kitten be before he is neutered?

I have a 5 month old male kitten, and I am unsure of how old he should be before being neutered. Can you give me some advice please? any help would be appreciated

FlaKNMB According to KittenCare.com, "You can have [male cats] neutered anytime after 7 weeks, although 4-6 months is the norm." So, at 5 months, your kitten is right on the mark.

FlaKNMB We have a huge night blooming jasmine in our backyard. It is taller than our house and probably 10' wide. One of my simple pleasures is smelling the jasmine when the tree is covered with thousands of blooms. Ahhh...shear delight!

FlaKNMB When I eat soup, it IS my meal. I like hot soup except during the summer. It gets over 100 degrees here in Florida and the thought of something hot isn't appealing. I like soup because it tastes good, is inexpensive and can help one lose weight.

FlaKNMB At 52, I am happy with my height. I'm 5'8" and have been since 5th or 6th grade. Back then, I was the tallest person in school and desperately wished I could be shorter. I got teased a lot back then! Time has a way of working those things out.
