getnbuy Actually, I didn't do it. My cardiologist ruled against it. but, I am glad I didn't because I lost 70 pounds through therapy. I went to a counselor and learned how to deal with my stress so that I quit needing to eat for comfort.

Anybody here had a thyroid ectomy?

It was benign, but i feel totally crummy. It was 5 days ago and i still have a severe sore throat and a low fever with some throat congestion. Anybody else go thru this?

getnbuy Thankyou, everyone, for your responses. I am feeling better. Especially since I know now that there were no cancer cells whatsoever. I'm sure I will continue to improve.I hate going through these procedures, but I guess knowing I am cancer free is worth it.

getnbuy Well, just eat rice when you want to, then. If breakfast is set on the table for you I would eat it too. I like oatmeal ok. Mostly I eat toast and sometimes an egg. I love bacon, but it is too high in salt for my diet. I have it sometimes, though.
