I just read where the Jacksonville mayor has lifted the mandate to wear masks out in the public.
However he did say that businesses can still require it if they feel it necessary. Some businesses said they would require it,...

My world still has frosty nights. The day time temps are mild and mostly sunny. This means that it is pansy and viola season! Think: purples and yellows and whites and even a maroon soft petal.
I continue on in my...

John Welford That is a fascinating piece of heritage. Our garden project has revealed some interesting relics from the past - the house was built around 1910 and some of the original garden features are coming to light.
I was horrified to read about a chapel in Spain that...

One year when I was a teen I wanted to go out trick-or-treating and I did go and I got a lot of candy. But when I returned home there was whip cream all over my trampoline and my trees had been rolled in toilet paper. I was very...

John Welford That sounds as though "trick" had been administered when you had had no opportunity to oblige with "treat"!

John Welford A question you have to ask is - what price are you willing to pay to catch up and overtake? If it comes down to overriding human rights and being throroughly unpleasant to your own people, then I would say that is not a price you should ever dream of paying.

John Welford Having a decent minimum wage is all about social justice, and I see nothing wrong with that.
Actually, if people have a reasonable basic income they will be less of a burden on the state rather than more. They will not need to claim top-up benefits and they...

Well, there IS the fact that He prayed to God.
Then there's his frequent habit of 'talking about God & God's son as a person separate from Himself' (which Christians often claim is His 'talking about Himself in the...
