racheld Congratulations on quitting! I'm so proud of you! My mom quit smoking almost five years ago and she did it cold turkey with no patches or anything. Just keep yourself busy and chew lots of gum. If you feel a craving coming along, go for a walk or something....

twix Congratulations on becoming a non smoker. I quit a few years ago after smoking a lot every day for years and years. What did the trick for me was Allen Carr and his easy way to quit smoking. It was really easy. There is a web site you could take a look at....

5000ml Nowadays I only cook on electric (I'm forced to, there's no gas in this building), but I used to cook on gas for years. I prefer gas, it's more dependable and heats up quicker. You can also regulate the flame better too.
