katsalot1 That is a very good point! I saw a meal being finished in Neighbours 2 days ago - I'm pretty sure it was the first time. If I didnt know they recorded it months ago I'd think someone saw my comment!

katsalot1 I have so many old magazines! I can't bear to throw them away, because there are so many different colours and textures that can be used. Scrapbooks are a great way of using them.

katsalot1 Thanks for that. It is very reassuring to hear. Not entirely sure what sort of septic tank it is, but it is probably very old. The people who own it say that they have never had any trouble with it, so hope it continues that way.

katsalot1 I don't just add people if they are from the UK. I add them when I see that we have a few things in common. Some people are obviously on a different wavelength to me, so I know that I wouldn't be able to respond to their discussions.

katsalot1 Wet washing certainly seems to pick up smells. When I hang my washing over the boiler, it seems to pick up smells from the cooker, which is nearby - particularly the smell of cooked oil! I think that line drying is definitely best if it is possible.

katsalot1 I wouldn't want to make rugs from my partner's T-shirts, by the time he has finished with them they are definitely not usable for anything! I use anything made from T-shirt type material, so can get quite a lot from other items of clothing.

katsalot1 I have made several in the past out of old cut up T-shirts. They are brilliant because they are washable, they cost nothing to make, and it's all recycled. It does take a long time to cut the shirts into strips though!
