khian545 i already did what you have said to your response,, i did the trial and error method,, and even tweaked the registry for enabling write protect and disabling it,, i've also come up with using the administrative tools in xp's disk management but none of it...

khian545 oh!,, if your motherboard only supports 2gb of memory, you cannot install greater than what it only supports, therefore 2gb is not allowable...
