LaLaLisa Parents know when their kids are sick and need medical attention. They also know when they are too lazy to take them in!! When they intentionally don't take them in for selfish reasons - yes, it is child abuse!!

LaLaLisa Another thing to consider is that this is your first child...you always overanalyze EVERYTHING when it's your first one. I've heard from a lot of people that they gain "water weight" in the first trimester of their pregnancy and experienced this myself....
