mr_mlk What will this be used for? What is the budget? I have an ATI Radion 4670 (a budget card) and it plays FSX at 1600x900 on high. So for a £60 card I really can't compain.

mr_mlk To do this you will need a finger print scanner. I would ask the provider of the scanner to tell you what APIs they have. If they do not provide a Java API then look into JNI. A quick google for "java fingerprint" returned:
