What is the best food to keep in the back of your food closet for when you are low on food?

Food is expensive. I need to keep some food "put away" as they said back in the day--for when I am really low on it. What are the best and tasty foods to do that with? Fresh fruit does not work nor fresh veggies.

Of all the things that costs money that we cannot recycle, I try to make it stretch. One roll of toilet paper lasts me one week. I start on the next roll of toilet paper at the very end of that night. I buy generic.

Then then an error comes up. When you write to the group who has the surveys, and they ask you all these questions. If I have to write down the number of every survey I take, I might as well not take them.
