prash33 this is beacause you have not installed all the components of Ms-word. You need to install them fom Ms-word cd. Though it will not affect the functioning even if you don't install. you can simply click "cancel" when it prompts "trying toinstall...."

prash33 well, I will give fedora 6/10. I am an ubuntu user and I feel fedora is not user-friendly in comparision to ubuntu. Espacially for new users fedora is just too difficult.

prash33 no, You can't get a linux version of visual studio. For the obvious reason that microsoft want people to run its softwares on windows only. All of a sudden trying new IDes may also be difficult. You can run visual studio on "vmware" on linux.
