Sometimes, when we have not been grocery shopping or do not have the money for a whole lot of groceries to last for two weeks [between paychecks] we will have to look in the kitchen and throw some random meals together.
It sounds...

I was at my grandmother's nursing home the other day and was standing there talking to a few people in the hallway. One of the residents there saw me and my son standing there. As she walked by she patted my sons hair. Now I know...

prettypinkbug I know what you mean, but I understand the little old lady's side as well. He was probably so cute she couldn't resist. I bet I can make you cringe though with my story.
While shopping with my sleeping daughter who was about 1, an old lady came up to us and...

St. Patrick's Day is coming up soon. When I was a child, they would have the parade a few blocks from where we lived. So it was easy to get involved in the parade celebrations. A lot of the kids we get the little green hats or...

My score is now 716 but I am trying to raise it. My boyfriend and I want to buy a house. Soon (in the next 3-4 months) I will have my car paid off, so...

Everyone I know is sick. I feel like I've been run over by a Ford pickup. All I want to do is sleep, but my doctor says I can't until 10pm so I'm keeping myself busy here. Is everyone you know sick too? Is this a country wide...

prettypinkbug I haven't been on here in a while, but before I was hesitant about marking best responses too quickly. I think every discussion response needs to be considered for a best response mark, but not too quickly. I like to give everyone ample time to respond.

Sometimes people have a word, or a short line they say repeatedly. When I was a teenager my mom tried to break me from always saying 'good grief.' For my sister, it was trying to get her to quit saying 'whatever.' Of course since...

prettypinkbug I have caught myself saying this word at the end of sentences, but my friend and her mom are really bad about saying it too. We say "so". It's usually when they have run out of things to say in a conversation. Especially if we are on the phone. If she has...

Have you ever diagnosed yourself and have your doctor disagree with you and then have tests come back confirming what you thought in the first place?
I have had this happen THREE different times. Most recently I passed...

prettypinkbug Yes, I too have had this happen. Without the knowledge of test answers, you know your body better than your doctor. That's why they are 'practicing' medicine. They don't know everything and only go by what you tell them, and then by what the tests tell them....
