My computer goes on stand by itself

I have pentium 4 processor and 1 GB ram. When I checked in BIOS the system temp. was 52C , CPU temp 85C and Fan rpm was 4500. Is this causing the stand by ? Show me the way to get rid of this.

I am having screen scrambled

I had changed RAM for my pc from 256 MB to 1GB ,remember my discussion http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2493566.aspx. When I start up my pc my screen scrambles and I have to restart to get it back.
