Disheartening to see the Philippines finished dead last in recent FIBA tournament. Filipinos love basketball. They love to play and love to watch. Perhaps, lacking world class system that can harness this emotion is the culprit....

Why not rename it after the first and true hero of this island: Lapu-lapu. It quite ridiculous that people from this republic called themselves Filipinos as to serve honor to its namesake: a tyrant from Spain, King Philip II.
