What do you think of the fashion industry?

What models are too skinny? Do they set unattainable goals? Are fashion designers outdated?

Savannarose I've always seen fashion as an art form. I understand that it is less expensive to make smaller sizes and it may be easier to showcase art on a "blank canvas", but showing skeletal models as the epitome of fashion and beauty is not quite right.

Savannarose Well in ads they are trying to sell a product, does retouching the photos create an expectation that they'll receive something other than they're getting. Is it misleading to consumers? Does that make more sense?
