ShealM First, I've done both. The connection from computer to modem has no bearing on your modem to internet connection per say, at least not one you will visually note a difference with. Ethernet is an older, more stable technology than USB would be. USB is stable...

ShealM My next purchase is Audigy Platinum sound drive and inter-case liquid cooling system. I also will be purchasing a 650 gig external USB drive for backups and probably a new 188 MM fan (one is on the fritz and squeaking up a storm right now).
