Tonight's intervention was a good one. I felt so sorry for that family. The mother never really told her girls that she loved them growing up or in adult life. And at the intervention she told her daughter that she loved her from...

southernbelle77_ab I had a moment or two when I was afraid that the mother wouldn't say I love you. It's so sad when people are taught not to show emotion and you have to wonder why people would want to teach their kids such things. Sure, you can't be overly sensitive sometimes...

You know how it is, you have this collection of CDs and one day you realize that you never listen to half of them. So how often do you go through and "thin the herd" and what do you do with the ones you decide to eliminate from...

This is really starting to bug me. People want to be my friend, yet they don't comment on any of my discussions.. So why do they want to be my friend?? Do they just pick people at random? I have one guy in my pending list at the...

southernbelle77_ab I agree with you. I would rather have a few good friends than a whole list of "friends" that don't even know you're alive. I had one person request to be on my list (a stranger such as you describe) and I haven't heard from them since. If I was listed as...

I just hear that walking really is not excersie so how long or far do you have to walk for it to be good for you and be considered exercise???

southernbelle77_ab I've never heard that before. Just the opposite, in fact. Walking is good for you. Try to walk at least 30 minutes a day, however, if you want to lose weight, you should walk more than that. Try at least 45 minutes of brisk walking a day. It should end up...

One of my biggest pet peeves of losing weight is that I never know exactly how much exercise I will need to do to lose weight. Sometimes it seems that I exercise until I can't do anymore and yet the scale does not budge. Perhaps I...

I was looking through my bookshelf the other day and came across some books I had since I was a kid, like the Narnia series. They are still some of my favorite books but I haven't revisited them in a long time. I think I'm going...

southernbelle77_ab The Little House On The Prairie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Yes, I have read them again and I love them more each time. I also love the tv series (even though they don't follow the books all that much) and have them on dvd. Anne of Green Gables is another...

I love to read on my bed but I tend to fall asleep. When I feel sleepy I sit for a while then go to my bed again. It doesn't bother me at all. With a good book at hand I guesed it doesn't matter at all. Have fun reading!!!

southernbelle77_ab I've used all those positions you mentioned. I used to lay on the floor when I was a child, as I got older I started laying on the bed. Lately, I sit outside on the porch and read. You are right, it doesn't matter as long as you have a good book and you are...

southernbelle77_ab I read A Wrinkle In Time in 6th grade and I loved it. The whole class had to read it. At first, I didn't think I would enjoy it because I'm not a scientific kind of gal, but I was pleasantly surprised. Walt Disney also did a great job with the movie. If you...
