thistangent "my bad" is a phrase that acknowledges a mistake was made. Kind of like saying "sorry, that was my fault." It's something kids and young adults say these days.

thistangent Yep, I'm used to hearing it referred to as a "lucky smoke." I don't know the origins nor the thought process behind it. I never got into the habit myself; although, I do know a few smokers who still do this.

thistangent Lol, yep. Nurses are trained and hired to work with patients, make them more comfortable, etc. Doctors are trained to work with tissues, bones, diseases, etc... and they often spend their late teens and early adulthood only studying, in class, or sleeping...

thistangent Oh, that's so good to hear! I'm glad she's doing better, and didn't have to have an operation. :) Sometimes the only fix is an operation, but when there is another way it is good to avoid the cost and risk of surgery.
